Triumph Motorcycle Service Melbourne
The Triumph Motorcycles Ltd is another story of great passion and belief. It was established in 1984 by John Bloor after the original company, Triumph Engineering, went into receivership. It is now documented that Triumph Motorcycles Ltd is the UK’s largest motorcycle manufacturer and has produced around 49,000 motorcycles and employs around 1,500 staff.
In 1983, at the time that John Bloor bought the name and manufacturing rights from the official receiver, they believed that their factory, equipment and designs were not in a position to compete against the Japanese brands. Bloor learnt about his competitors facilities and manufacturing techniques and updated his own company’s equipment and set to work on the new Triumph models investing a lot of money into the company.
Bloor did have a few set-backs, particularly the fire of 2002 which destroyed his main factory, but Bloor bounced back and set back to work to re-build, start new construction and expand their operation. The persistence paid off with the company showing consistent growth. Sales for Triumph are still very strong and the company continues to successfully buck the trend of what the challenging market dictates. So John Bloor, we salute you!
The popular range of Triumph motorcycles in Australia are:
